Morgenster NU SERIES 1. Sauvignon Blanc 2016 (6/case) (R83/BOTTLE)
Morgenster’s NU (pronounced “new”) range of fruity styled and accessible wines made from young vines has been a hit, appealing as it does to both newer wine drinkers and those interested in tasting single varietal components of the Estate’s more famous blends.
None more so than Morgenster NU Series 1 Sauvignon Blanc. 2016 is the fourth release of this cultivar, with previous vintages selling out soon after launch.
2016 was a cracker of a vintage for both whites and reds. As the driest in recorded history, early harvested whites developed beautiful aromatics while a sudden temperature drop in February and March presented the reds with a lengthened ripening period.
In addition to Sauvignon Blanc, Morgenster NU range includes a Merlot, a Cabernet Sauvignon, a Cabernet Franc and a Sangiovese
