Thelema Verdelho 2015 (6/case) (R129/BOTTLE)

An intensely fragrant wine combining summer fruit, hints of pepper and crisp acidity.

Verdelho is a Portuguese grape, best known as one of the four traditional varieties used to make Madeira.

 

This is our first release of this interesting variety and it shows lively, crisp, fruity characteristics.

 

Fermented in stainless this wine shows aromas of apricot and stone fruit on the nose, complemented by zesty citrus, lemon grass and hints of spice on the palate.

 

Gyles’ suggestion for the perfect pairing for this wine was, “think fiery chicken livers and Fado music.”
